ClickUp comes to Cyprus
Thursday 8 October 2026 · 18:30 – 21:30 · In person · Limassol, Cyprus
About this event
ClickUp held its first event in Cyprus ever, in partnership with essere.ai: one evening at the NYX Hotel in Limassol, a full room, and the team behind one of the world's most loved work platforms on the island.
Mary Bornaghi presented ClickUp from the source. Kyriaki Parmakki gave the AI fundamentals: what has to be in place before AI is worth adding. Neophytos Polydorou ran five live use cases on real systems with demo data. Two companies that moved their work into ClickUp told the room what changed for them, and the evening closed with an AI-readiness check on everyone's phone, then networking until 21:30.
What we covered
Mary Bornaghi on how work should work: why the old way of working is broken, and where ClickUp is going as a converged platform with AI inside it rather than a dozen tools beside each other.
Employees regularly using AI on their work computer went from 15% to 45% in one year, and two thirds of them signed in with a personal account, not a company one. The question is not whether your people use AI. It is whether the company knows.
In people's heads · in separate files · in systems · in systems with intelligence on top. Moving up one step always means the same thing: organising your data. Gartner expects 60% of AI projects without AI-ready data to be abandoned.
A knowledge base of your company, so every agent knows how you work and the results are yours, not generic. And written rules: what each agent may read, what it may do alone, where a person decides, what it must never do.
The EU AI Act asks two things of every company today: train your people on AI, with evidence, and tell people when they are talking to an AI. The heavy rules, for AI that decides about people and money, land in December 2027.
Anyone can build their own software now. An afternoon gives you the screen; then come logins, permissions, mobile apps, backups, security, updates, support, and the day the person who built it leaves. Build what makes you different. Configure everything else.
A support call recognised, helped and booked by Ciao before anyone knew it came in. The 08:00 brief that spotted a task at risk and proposed the reassignment. Month-end billing prepared by an agent and approved by a person. A vendor invoice filed without anyone reading the inbox. And the weekly security review, where an agent checks every action against the rules, including the access it was denied.
